Imperial Shrine of the Aquila

As I was painting my french carabiniers last week, I took some time to also work on the newest acquisition for our Club, the GW Imperial Shrine of the Aquila.

I added the base, made of thick cardboard, carved the stones on the sidewalk and added some texture on the inside to represent debris. Some algae was also included to help boost the "long-forsaken" visual I was after here.

As we can attest, Mankind's faith in the Emperor keeps the lights burning, despite the poor condition of these ancient ruins...

This is a very tall building, and here we can have an idea by looking at that Imperial Officer nearby (28mm).

He's probably assessing the viability of using this position to accomodate some troops for an upcoming battle. His countenance doesn't transpire much satisfaction, though...

  1. Beautiful in its dis-repair. My, but that is TALL; clearly designed to intimidate mere humans with its scale.
