Just finished another two cohorts for my WIP Imperial Roman Legion. One of them is larger (6 bases), as it's going to represent the Legion's First Cohort.
I managed to find several other kits of these rare legionaries from Caesar Miniatures on ebay, and so (provided they arrive safe and sound) I now have enough to finish the other cohorts.
I've also got some auxiliaries to paint, as well as cavalry and artillery, so getting this army ready for the table is likely to take most of the year. And then off to barbarians.
Excellent cohorts! My older brother is working on 28mm Romans at the moment to.
ReplyDeleteThat's excellent, Paul. A nicely painted 28mm army beats any scale in terms of visual appeal. Hope to see pics of those romans on your blogs eventually.
DeleteThose are a bit good! Very well done.
ReplyDeleteI think you are the first wargamer I've come across in South America- is there much of a scene over there?
Best, Simon
Hi, Simon, there are some organised game clubs in several major cities. A couple months ago, I did a post about our local gaming club, which happens to be the largest in the country. Check it out: http://myevergrowingarmies.blogspot.com.br/2014/11/our-local-gaming-club.html
DeleteThanks- very interesting! Great club venue you have there.

Very nice.
ReplyDeleteWhat size basing did you use? 60x30mm?
This is 50x40mm, same as my Napoleonics, but because these guys are bulky, I can only fit 6 per base, instead of the 8 of my napoleonics.
