Deadzone Striders

Finally got my hands on the Deadzone Striders. I got 4 on my kickstarter pledge, for the ridiculous price of US$10.00, each (!)

These are the models I like the most from this kickstarter. Great design, very Scifi, and finely engineered.

I magnetized their torsos and arms, and now I can pose them differently, pivoting their waists, and can also exchange weapons. Even though Deadzone has unique weapons for the Corporation and Plague versions, I chose to make all weapons available to my 3 Corportation striders and my single Plague one. Who knows what Warpath will bring us, anyway?

Magnetizing also allows me to give them dramatic poses, such as this one here:

Corporation Tanks on Parade

Last week I had some time to work on more vehicles for my Corporation army. These models are from 2 different companies. The flyers came from Antenociti's Workshop and the tanks are produced by Bits Pudlo.

The mortar (Pounder, for my Corporation army) have 2 weapon options on the front and a mechanic arm on the rear that helps reload the main gun. I chosed to magnetize them all. In the case of the arm, it is useful also to avoid breakage during transport.

The flyers don't come with flight stands, so I ordered a couple from Forgeworld to use on them. These are the exactly same that come with the GW flyers, such as the Stormtalon and Stormraven. They are also magnetized, so I can easily disassemble them for easy transportation.

Large bases are always a good oportunity to apply yourself on basing, and I wanted to give these two a battlefield debris look. I think they came out nice.

The flyers come with a single weapon option: missile launcher. I magnetized their sides so I can also fit there other weapons that I have for my 40k Stormravens.

I now had a pretty decent sized collection of vehicles for my army, and so I figured it would be nice to have them all displayed for a Parade shot:

I'm still on the process of revising Pax Stellarum, and last saturday I played another game with friends. Photos will follow soon, on the next post.

Main Battle Tanks for the Corporation

Recently, I purchased a couple tanks from PigIron Productions to go as my MBT's for the Corporation army in Warpath. Those models look amazing, very sci-fi and exquisitely detailed.

I used a Corporation Major-General (which I just painted up, as well) on the pics below to give you guys a sense of scale.

The turrets rotate freely, since the model has a pin-on-hole design that connects the turret to the chasis. I added some magnets to the top and sides of the tanks so I can fit additional weapons, such as anti-infantry guns on the turret, or heavy weapons on the sponsors, etc.

Here we have some close-ups of the Major-General. I'll be painting some details on his glaive on different colors. It's all too red and kind of reminds hell-boy as it is now.

Those tanks and the Veer-myn saw action for the first time last week. Here are some shots of the climax of the battle, where a tunneller had emerged right in the middle of the Corporation forces, got blown up and then its gruesome cargo got assaulted by Enforcers.

Here the Enforcers surround a Night Spawn, and the Captain slains the beast while the remaining rats escorting it are also erradicated.

Fun game, fun models, hope to put these guys on the table again, soon.

Tanks for the Corporations

Here are my first vehicles for my Corporation army, of Warpath. The two in the sides are from Bitspudlo. Great resin models. Well cast and easy to assemble. The other two are from Khurasan Miniatures, and are even better castings.

All have been properly magnetized to provide weapon interchangeability.

I used a 28mm infantry (an Eisenkern) to give a sense of scale of these models on the pics below:

This guy here is going to be my APC-13 'Warrior':

This one is going to be the SPA-7 'Pounder':

These two here I'm not sure what to do yet. They can be used as FLT-8 'Firestorm's, but I'd need to find proper weapons for them (flamers). They should fit the role well, aesthectically speaking, since the firestorm's are probably supposed to be small, agile vehicles.

I could also just use them in scenario games and find some other model to go as Firestorms. I just couldn't resist buying them, way too much awesomeness to be resisted.
