Expanding my warbands

A couple extra warbands and a unit of slingers completed. Another 2 warbands to go and I'll have a full additional division for my celt army.

  2. These look great. I have been inspired by your posts and have purchased my first boxes of Caesar 1/72's for this game. A quick question on basing. I see from this you use 6 figs per base. What are the base sizes/dimensions you are using for units? Also does the size of the circular bases matter for command units? Kep up the good work. I enjoy your blog.-Bob

    1. Hi,

I use 5cm wide x 4cm deep bases for infantry, 4 bases per warband. The size of command bases, in theory, doesn't matter, as you're supposed to measure from the commander's head, not the edge of his base. In practice, though, we usually just measure from the base - not a game breaker, since both sides do that!

My command bases are 5cm in diameter, I believe (don't have one with me right now). It's nice to have some room in them to put an extra model or two, aides of the General, to help set a scene.
