First buildings for my spanish villa

I been planning on expanding my collection of terrain for quite a while, particularly aiming at starting a collection of spanish buildings, to use on my Black Powder games of the Peninsular War.

These here are my first 6 buildings for that project. First off, 4 pieces from Hovels:

The backsides:

Next, a couple kits from Charlie Foxtrot. Those are actually 28mm, but I figured they could fit well with my scale. The hermitage looks pretty on scale as a church, while the tower could be said to look a bit too large for 1/72 - but then again, who is to say it's not simply a majestically large tower, suitable for the religious fervour of the peninsular people (!).

  1. Excellent work on these buildings! Those 28mm buildings don't look to oversized to me!

  3. Those Hovels buildings are superb. They have place of honor in my own terrain collection. They were designed at a time when figures were smaller, so they make an especially good fit with your figures. The forced perspective they us reduces the tabletop footprint as well.
