Since I've been adding quite a few regiments of heavy cavalry for the austrian and russian armies, I thought it'd only be fair to give the french some well deserved reinforcements, too, so here they are, the 4th Cuirassiers, on their striking orange facings!
superb quality as always, when a battle report?
ReplyDeleteIndeed, Joan. I should set a game up soon!
DeleteFantastic :)
ReplyDeleteThose really pop, nice work!
ReplyDeleteThey are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI had to have one regiment each in each of the 5 facing colors - red, yellow, orange, pink, and lie de vin (sort of purple crimson, used for the later war 13th and 14th regiments).
Truly splendid!
ReplyDeleteLove it!

ReplyDeletebeautiful painting on beautiful figurines
Thanks for all the kind words, gentlemen!
ReplyDeleteIt's easy to tellwhen a set is well sculpted by the care and precision the painter will apply to the figures. These certainly deserve the rich treatment and attention to every small detail. I must thank you for the inspiration and education on painting techniques you provide. Maybe one day I can paint up a unit to look like these! A man has to dream, yes?
