Swedish Line Infantry - Västerbottens Regiment
Another unit of line infantry painted for the Swedish. This is my fifth battalion for this army, only another to go and I'll call their line infantry done (then there will be the guard and grenadiers left to do!).
Because they saw action during the Napoleonic wars? 1807, 1808-09, 1813-1814. They fought the French, Russians, and Danes. The descendant of a French Marshal still holds the throne of Sweden 200 years later... unlike all the many other Kings placed on the throne by Napoleon, none of whom was still in power by 1816.
nice, I like the idea of a wooden base so you cn turn them around during the shoot
ReplyDeleteCool stuff! I really do like those Sweedish uniforms.
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful. But, why Swedish Napolenic troops?
ReplyDeleteI need them all! :p
