Thorgarim Forgefathers

I recently purchased a Midgard Delvers team, from Dreadball, to convert into Thorgarim for my Forge Father army, and I think they ended up very good.

I used the multiple spare heat hammers that came with the Steel Warriors (basic infantry) in the army set to arm them up. The leader also got a replacement hand with a hailstorm pistol.

These guys are one of the most powerful units in the Forge Fathers army, as each carry a Crushing Strength 6 weapon (!!), with 5+ Defence and 3+ to hit. Pretty tough guys.

Warpath Forge Fathers

Last week I painted my first Forge Fathers from Mantic. I'm quite fond of SciFi dwarfs, and those guys from Mantic look great.

They turned out very easy to paint, and the entire army box (30 infantry, 2 ordnances) took me 25h to paint up, from the moment they were primed.

I played my first game of Warpath yesterday at our club using the Forge Fathers as my army. My opponent used an army of Corporation, which I lended him.

Th end result was victory for the Forge Fathers, and it was a real fun! The game is fast paced and straight forward, so you can easily play an Apocalipse-sized game over the time it would take you to play a standard 1500-point game of 40k.

Currently on the table, we have an army of Veer-myn, also from Warpath, already basecoated and ready for paint!
