Prussian Line Infantry - 1st East Prussian

I took a brief pause from painting Swedes to work on the first units of the army I'm starting this year: the Prussians.

This is the first battalion of the 1st East Prussian Regiment (1st Regiment of Line), with their brick red (orange red) facings and white shoulder straps, indicative of the first regiment of that province.

The models are Hat Industries, and some of their best output! The proportions, high standard of sculpting and detail, historical accuracy and number of poses makes these gentlemen a true joy to paint. Hat produced 3 kits of this infantry - march, action and command, and I used a mix of these to come up with this unit, with musketeers on the back holding their rifles on their shoulders and the ones in the front firing/reloading.

  2. They look great! I started with the 10th Regiment myself, but I don't have your painting speed! Here's a link, if you want to take a look.
